I just joined the forum and hope to become a successful coyote hunter soon and plan to start getting out and get started, trying my hand at it this month, February. I have gotten about all the equipment that is needed ready to go. Just doing some final study about proper hunting equipment and tactics from Andrews fine book COYOTE CALLING, ADVANCED CONCEPTS TADTICS. Then just to get out there and practice what I have learned from reading and from watching utube instructional vidios. I am hoping from some encouragement from the wife also.

Hello fellow members, thanks for the great forum. My name is Jeff and hunt western ny and the s.tier.Been at it about three seasons now with limited success.Four fox and three coyotes.Hunt solo or with my son.He is 26 and me 55.The rest of the family enjoys the fishing and outdoors but have not been interested in this predator thing yet.The stories of the hunting experiences on this forum are excellent learning opportunities if you read and pay attention to the details.I was happy to hear this described by some as an addiction because it really is very intense hunting.I think i am addicted now. These animals are smart and their senses are refined by my mistakes which has been the driving force to continue to learn this skill and become a better hunter.I look forward to reading about your hunts success and failures. Thanks again for the invite to membership.Best luck to all.Hope to post a good story soon.Have not had but one fox kill this year and it had mange so i good one to kill.Have got most of the equipt.now and hope to improve the kill ratio soon.I have put in some long nites this season.

Hi Jeff, you will learn much by tagging along. Sounds like your hooked, as are the rest of us. Welcome and be sure to post your pics and stories. Helps everyone especially when we can't get out or are in a slump. Great thing about this sport you can hunt alone or with someone. Good luck & keep after them !

Welcome and thanks for visiting the Bark at the Moon Coyote Club forum! The club was started back in 1990 and continues to grow. We host the Foxpro's New York State Predator Hunt as well as the Final Fling for Fox Be be sure to visit the main website and feel free to register to view the entire forum. They guys/girls here are posititive and try to help each other as best they can. Hi Andrew, I just joined your club and I am excited to learn more about predator hunting. I have listened to the Predator Hunting Talkcasts from 2009 & 2010 on which you were the guest speaker entitled - "Episde6 - Coyote hunting 101 the how to of hunting" and "Episode 31 - Fox Vocals with Andrew Lewand" . I have listened to them several times (mostly while riding in the truck on my way to hunt) and I have taken notes based on your advice. This is my first season hunting predators in Michigan. I have made a lot of mistakes but I was able to finally see my first pair of coyotes just this past weekend. I was so excited and nervous I totally forgot to bark or call to get them to stop so I could take a shot. I hunt a farm here in MI with very dense woods around it. They were in the thick stuff and I couldnt get a shot off, but I AM HOOKED. What a rush!

Hi. My name is Scott and I live in Eastern, Pa. I been hunting predators for many years and feel I honestly have an addiction. The howling I do in the house (practicing) is putting the wife over the edge. Oh well. Thanks for the add and I'm looking forward to learning from the folks on the forum. My most recent change to predator hunting in the addition of numerous custom made howlers and distress calls. I plan on changing things up this season from the primary ecall to some hand calls. Good luck to all this season!!

Welcome Scott !!! You found a good site here. Great bunch of guys ! We all kind of feed off of each other through the success of others when we're not doing so good. There is always something new to learn & try. Make sure you take pictures to add with your adventures as you will see many of us do have some luck once in a while !
