I think my son and I won this contest and we got paid more than $400. We set up 19 times during the contest, 12 the first night 7 the second, kind of slacked off there, tired and cold. 7 times eyes appeared, 5 shots were fired, 1 fox in the box. 1 set, a fox barked at us. Learning to make sure of our target, we watched as a farm cat attacked our Fox Jack decoy at one set. The work we put into obtaining permission to access the sets, meeting some really nice people along the way. Learning some of you beat us to that access (Ora…you know who you are). The screw ups and the laughs, just regular old hunting. Being able to spend all of that time with my son, yes I do believe we won the contest. Thanks to Andrew for putting the contest on, I know you put a lot into it and yes there is post tournament depression, PTD, the only cure, the Fox Fling, but work will keep me from it.

Based on your experience I would claim you as the winner. To be a winner its all about the experiences and the folks we share them with. Congrats!!

foxthugs If the contest gave you and your son a opportunity that you wouldn't have had or taken (especially with the weather) then you are indeed the winners. Cherish those times good and bad because there will come a time when one or both of you will not be able to do it. I have hunted with my dad for years and now he is getting to old to go. His heart is in it but his body says no. Enjoy it while you can!!!!
