Need a recommendation for a gunsmith very familiar w/ the AR 15 to install an aftermarket adj. trigger in my Stag super Varminter. Great rifle but I'm used to Savage's accutrigger so I would like something more refined. Don't want to travel more than an hour from Norwich, NY. Any suggestions?

Don't know anyone around there but if you do a little research I'm positive you'll find the best recommended trigger assembly for what your looking to achieve and there are tons of books and PDF files you can get to do it yourself. They are a pretty simple platform to work on. But if your not comfortable I'm sure any one of the local gun shops are capable. Good luck hope you find what you need.

Simple process. I don't live near you so reference ARFCOM for how to.

No need to pay anyone. ARs are simple. Especially triggers. ARFCOM has almost unlimited brains to pick and stickied posts for such a thing.

All AR's are nothing more than simple lego kits that a 9 year old could assemble given the proper tools, which are minimal. For the ultimate in simplicity take a look at Timney triggers. They are a preassembled, one piece, drop in unit that require about 5 minutes of your time to put in and they are excellent. I have had them in several AR's. The difference between them and a factory trigger is shocking. Be aware that you will have a choice between big and small pin. Colt uses large pin. Everyone else uses small pin.

If it's a straight drop in you could do it yourself blindfolded after about 10 minutes of practice.
