Hi, My name is Mike. I hunt in the Bloomfield, NY area, namely my backyard and my friend's land. My friend has about 120 acres and we hear the coyotes alot and occasionally see them. I'm new to this, but giving it a try. My backyards is about 50 acres and I managed to get out last night for a couple of hours. After overcoming some difficulties with my tree stand due to the winds the day before, >60mph, I got up there and had a red fox show up after 10 minutes. He quick turned into the brush when I went to get the crosshairs on him. About 45 minutes later I had about 4 or 5 coyotes start howling, say 100 yards or so off, near me. I called back with a couple of yips and a howl, but they stopped a couple of minutes later and they never came in.

Hi, my name is Mark (Fakawee) and I'm from Spring Valley, California. I joined the club because my hunting partner (Desert Dog) told me the club has some great information and reading on one of my favorite hobbies. I've been hunting the dogs for more than 9 years now both with the bow and gun and find it to be some of the most challenging hunting around. I hope to talk to some of you soon!

Hello all:
Mike here, central Louisiana. Our license plates boast of it being the sportsmans paradise and indeed it is. Plenty game here from squirrel, rabbits, ducks, deer, and for sure a large population of 'ole wiley coyote. He grows huge here and is slicker than owl poop on a wet sycamore limb. A predator indeed, but the 'yote is an amazing animal, smarter than any buck deer or even the so called shy bobcat. Almost like a ghost, he comes out of the dirt and disappears into thin air. Native Americans say he is a mystical animal, one of Gods creatures just like man, and he will survive just like man .
Long story short, I'm hooked after taking a 40 pound male this past deer season. I watched several other huge ones after I took this one but have not been able to set my kroshare on any of them yet.
I am looking forward to surfing this forum for ideas and pointers on ways to help me in taking a few more of these creatures so that other game as well as the newborn calves can have a better chance at survival. I do not believe in, nor do I teach my Children and Grandchildren about eradication of any creature. I know that Mother Nature knows what is best, but it is evident that we are getting a bit overloaded with 'yotes.
Thanks for letting me into this community.
