Hi my name is Glenn I live in Fairport and I joined last year prior to the NYS Foxpro contest. I never get to hunt as much as I would like. I am hoping to pop my predator hunting cherry during the 2014 contest. I learned a bit last year about what would make this year better so now I have better lights (Pmack's) a new Foxpro wildfire call, a decoy and some prayers to the God of the hunt that my buddy Chris and I are successful this year. Good luck and safe hunting to all

Hi guys I live and hunt in eastern catskills/ hudson valley area. Caught the predator bug a few years ago, hoping to get some tips on lights, calling and hunting over bait. I called and killed my first yote last week, after years and many encounters that didn't result in fur. Now I really want a fox but not seeing much sign of them, yote tracks every where though. Not having any luck bait hunting, with the snow conditions seem like there not even hitting it much.

Hey everyone. I just joined after being referred from another NY Forum. I just moved from Pa in May. Been hunting for 30 years. Was just getting in to predators last winter in Pa. Have traveled up to NY for the last about 10 years to deer hunt. I mostly hunt Livingston County, but hunt a little in Wyoming and Genesee Counties too. Missed a Yote with my inline this year in deer season and decided it was time to help that farmer out and get some off his property, he's all for it. Live in Pavilion.

Hey Guys, I ve been watching this forum for a little bit now and have finally joined. Ive been predator hunting for a few yrs in genesee and wyoming counties and have come to really enjoy it. This forum has helped me to figure some things out as well as some much needed trial and error. I have competed in the FoxPro Tourney the last couple yrs and loved it. Hats off to regular contributors on the site and to Andrew. Im thankful for flexibility to be able to hunt quite a bit and for an awesome wife that lets me chase critters. I also have two young boys and my oldest is already talking about all the things he wants to chase with me when he gets "bigger" Good Luck with the remainder of the season everybody.

Hey dudes, I'm Jim. I'm from the Buufalo, NY area. I've whacked a few yotes while deer hunting, but now I'm about to start purposely hunting coyotes. I've got a 2 year old and a 6 month old, so I have a hard time hunting the weekends away. I figured coyote hunting will let me get out in the woods while everyone is sleeping. Happy wife, happy life! Anyway, the wife got me a foxpro call for my birthday, and I now need to acquire a light. Within a week or so, I'll be out there for my lesson in humility. Can't wait! Happy hunting everyone!

Hey everyone. Thought I would introduce myself being new to the forum and all. I just took up hunting coyotes this year after losing two deer to the buggers. Neighbor isn't a big fan of them and offered to let me hunt his place for them...and that's where it all started. I currently live in Connecticut, but was born and raised in Western NY. I've had a good bit of success for my first year so far. Probably started hunting them in February and got the first kill on the ground a short time after (grey fox). After seeing what my mini-30 did to him, I invested in a few other options. Called in my first coyote and put him on the ground in March. My buddy got the kill, but it was cool to watch the yote charge the caller. Since then, I've put five of them on the ground. Haven't had any luck in NY yet, but in all honesty, I've only tried once or twice. I plan to put a little more time into it when the season starts back up this year. We can hunt them 11 months out of the year here in CT, but no night hunting. Needless to say, I try to make it out once or twice a week just to see if anything wants to play. Anyway...been checking out some of the posts, and I've had a chance to read one of Andrew's books. Look forward to posting future kills and reading the threads. S2H
