Thanks for the welcome. Need all the luck I can get. Have been predator hunting on and off for a few years now and have yet to put some fur down. Still plugging away hoping it happens this year.

Hello everyone. This is my 2nd season hunting coyotes. I have a FoxPro Fusion e-caller. I use a Savage Axis II 22-250 rifle, a Buck Lantern headlight by Predator Tactics and a Cyclops kill light mounted on my rifle. I am from Van Wert County Ohio where the land is flat and the woods are in small parcels with many acres of farm ground.
I pretty much hunt exclusively at night, mostly with a partner, and occasionally 3 of us. We have killed 2 coyotes this winter, my partners getting both of the shots. The coyotes in our area are RARELY seen in daylight and only howl at night. It is hard to find advice or shows with tips that fit the type of geography and hunting situation we have here. I have read all I can to try to learn and improve my hunting skills, and look forward to combing through threads on this site to further my knowledge.

Hi guys, I checked in here so I could try and be part of the contest series this year. I'm originally from NW PA, spent 20 years in the Air Force, retired and then moved back up here. I'm 1/2 mile from the NY state line so I double dip in both states. While some love them and others do not, I am a team member with MFK Gamecalls. True to form with the rest of the team, my typical tactics are often seen as aggressive, over the top and sometimes not popular. I have a habit of breaking the "rules", (not regs) as they are typically seen on social media and the internet. However, I feel that is more related to effort that shows itself by way of results and A LOT of blood on the tailgate. 90+ % of my calling is with coyote vocals that have been learned by experience and from some of the most successful coyote killers in the country. It's fun and they just plain work once you learn to have confidence in it. I have killed coyotes in FL, SC, NC, PA, NY and IL. All with the same tricks, tactics and calling. Hope to share some knowledge and experiences with you all this season!

Hello everyone! I am Jeff. I have been Deer hunting for almost 15 years now, maybe a year or two more. Decided it was now time to start coyote hunting. Was something I always wanted to do. Tried last year with just a baitcicle and my blind with a bow. Saw tons of creatures on cam hitting it at night, but never had time to hunt it before it melted other than the first day for a few hours. Just got a new Foxpro Patriot from the girlfriend's parents for Christmas. Looking forward to finally taking it out and hopefully having some success with shotgun this year. Have no idea what I'm doing so looking to learn a ton here and hopefully share my experiences and teach others as I learn myself. Also going to be hunting mornings and daytime to dark I believe. Will be hunting in Westchester. Thanks for reading.
Jeff

I'm Back, WOW can't believe how long it's been. Started hunting with brothers dogs right after signing up and buying FX3 and do dads. Had my old goose taken a few nights ago in my yard. Old goose was 25+ years old. Coyotes are back in yard almost nightly now. Drew blood with rifle running. Caller out now along with Jack in box decoy. Coyotes are looking for the other water fowl that hang here for freebies.
Looking forward to how every one uses callers and good calls and how to best use volume.

Says new member but have been on the site for quite some time (3 years I believe) I live in the western finger lakes but hunt as Far East as Albany and as far north as Saranac.
Speaking of, anyone in the western finger lakes in need of a partner for 2022 contest? I supply the land and vehicle you supply a drivers license so we can alternate driving/sleeping ha!
